Good Morning Everyone! Well, I'm toodling along on this diet. Since my last post I've lost another 1.5lbs. for a total of 12.0 pounds in 14 full days of low calorie dieting. Been busy last few days. Working around the house, trying to get the MOUNTAIN of paper in my office scanned and shredded. Trying not to use the car any more than necessary since gas is approaching $4 gallon here. I'm sure you are all feeling that pinch. Not much else to say. Life is pleasant and smooth this week. :)

Day #13 VLCD
Good Morning :)
My weight this morning is the same that it was yesterday morning...173.5, down from 184. That's 10.5 lbs. lost in 12 full days. A busy day today, out on the road most of the day, so I will probably just do an apple day because I won't have time to do much else. Apples are a great substitute on a busy day. No cooking, no measuring, just wash and eat! Well, gotta run! Hope you all have a great week and lose a few pounds! :)

Day #11 VLCD
Good Morning! Yes it is! Down 1.5 lbs in last 2 days. Beginning weight 184, this morning's weight = 174.5. Not 1lb per day, but I'm ok with that. At least I'm losing every day. .5 lbs. to go and I'll be down a full 10 pounds! Was very busy yesterday, seemed to have PLENTY of energy. Cleaned out all the food cabinets in the house including the pantry. It's amazing how when you get busy with life a can of tomatos can sit on the same shelf in the same spot for 3 years. I had food that expired in 2005 mixed in with food that won't expire until 2012. Not any more! Everything is fresh, clean and current. Andy now I'm locating my food in my kitchen by expiration date, not by "what it is". With the issues on the tube about food shortages and gas getting so expensive, this means our food is going to skyrocket in price, so I decided to take inventory and do some stocking up of the things we use most that have a long shelf life. Anyway, that has nothing to do with this diet, but it's what I did all day yesterday. Today will be a "sitting" day, I have some new software to install on my business computer, so we'll see how the weight loss is tomorrow. Have a GREAT weekend! :)

Day #9 VLCD
Well. I lost .5 lbs. 8 days of VLCD & 8 pounds lost. Starting weight on 4/14 was 184, morning of 4/24 weight is 176.0. I guess I'm on track if I don't count the 2 load days. So far so good.......

Day #8 VLCD
Disappointment again. No loss. Still 176.5 down from 184. Went to the beauty shop yesterday. Put that cream around the edge of my hairline to keep the hair dye from staining my skin. Guess that ruined it for me. Well, I'm doing everything else correctly, so all I can do is keep on keepin on. Today is a new day. I still have a long way to go so I can't give up now. I still have 32.5 pounds to go. At this rate I'll be dieting forever.......

Tuesday Day #7 VLCD
Well, I walked about 5 miles yesterday. My legs are sore today. 3 miles @ the gym, then took the dogs for a walk in the afternoon. We walked at a good pace for an hour. Only lost .5lbs since Monday. bummer. Eating all the right stuff, drinking water. I think my muscles are growing. We'll see how the week ends up. :)

Monday-Day #6 VLCD
Good Morning,
Weight loss = .5lbs. Total lost with 7 full days of dieting = 7 lbs.
A little disappointed that it was only .5 lbs, but I'll take what I can get. I drank all the water and then some yesterday, didn't eat any cake at the wedding shower, though everyone raved about how good it was. Didn't even eat all my food for the day. I did do one no-no though. I put a smidge of lotion around my eyes before I went to the bridal shower, just for vanity purposes. So I guess my vanity cost me a pound. Bummer. I'm dressed and ready to walk out the door to go to the gym. Tomorrow will be a full pound lost, I'm just sure of it! Have a pleasant day!

Day #5 VLCD
Well, I was disappointed this morning. No weight loss. Yesterday I did not drink all my water. I ate all the right foods, but didn't drink all the water. No weight loss. So, I'm going to MAKE SURE I drink it all today and maybe tomorrow will be 2 pounds less on the scale? Wouldn't that be a treat! Tomorrow mornings weigh in will be the results of 7 full days of dieting. I really only need to be down .5 lbs to have lost 7 pounds my first 7 days. But we always hope for more, don't we. Today is another busy day, a bridal shower to go to. Already dreading the question "would you like a piece of cake?". But I will just say, "No thank you", and try not to dwell on it. Nothing good ever comes easy. Losing weight is good. Losing weight will improve my health and life over all. I must continue to fight the battle to win the war! Hope you all have a glorious day! Day #4 VLCD
Saturday, my weight this morning is 177.5 down from 184. Feel a little shaky this morning. Probably haven't been eating enough calories with all the excitement of Grandbaby Addison's birthday on Thursday. Plan to pay more attention and write down my calories as I eat them. I cooked up 2 or 3 days worth of chicken portions last night on my George Forman Grill. If any of you do the grill thing, I've found that the chicken tastes better if it's cut into smaller pieces and not cooked to death. Big pieces need to cook longer and seem to be "tough", not as tender as the smaller pieces. Just a thought. I long for late summer when the tomato's are ripe and plentiful. They are all hard and pink at this time of year. Not as tasty. Nothing better than a red, juicy, warm from the sun, tomato with salt and pepper! Well, will be very busy this weekend. Addison comes home from the hospital today. I'm going over to help the new parents for a few hours. Thought I'd put together something for their dinner for the next couple of days. Seems like the babies always want to cry when you're trying to cook dinner. I guess they smell the food, who knows. Hope all of you are doing well. L8R

Day #3 VLCD 7:15AM CDT
My weight this morning is 178.5. That's a loss of 5.5 pounds in the past 4 days. So far so good! Yesterday was a real challenge. I spent 10 hours at the hospital waiting for my first grandbaby to be born. Addison Lynn was finally born @ 2:15PM, baby and Mom are doing well. Got home around 5PM, ate a piece of chicken and a small tomato and collapsed for the rest of the evening. I was wiped out from all the pacing and worrying all day. Haven't felt any hunger pangs yet, maybe a little one yesterday, but I ate an apple and forgot about it. Today I plan to work in the office until noon, and then go to the grocery store for some fresh cucumbers and apples. I plan to have shrimp for dinner today along with some cucumber slices. Will have half a grapefruit and an apple today as well. Haven't decided what to chew on for lunch today. Hope everyone is doing well with their diets. TATA4Now......

Happy Birthday Addison!!!!!
My Grandbaby (1st) is being born this morning!!! Just got the call to come to the hospital. My Weight 181.5!!! Lost 2.5 pounds yesterday!! Will give myself my injection, grab 2 apples, 2 bottles of water and jump in the car!! Soooo excited!!!:)

Day #1 VLCD
Well, I'm bummed. I just weighed. I've GAINED 4lbs. in 2 days. Nothing like starting a diet to gain 4 pounds. Well, I'm going to try to look forward, not backward. Today is my first VLCD day. Yesterday I walked my dogs in the field across the road for 40 minutes. It was warm and sunny outside, and we all enjoyed the fresh air. I ate 2 pieces of home made pizza last night for dinner (Load day #2), drank 1 soda, ate steamed vegetables and salmon for lunch, and had yogurt and cottage cheese for breakfast. Today is a new day. I have a serious final exam, for a class I've been taking, @ 12:30 today, so it will be a day of sitting on my butt again. I'm going to try to walk later today if I can squeeze it in. Only had a large cup of tea w/stevia this morning when I woke up. Later.

Load Day #2
Well, I gained 1.5 pounds yesterday (Monday 4/14/08). Bummer. I did go to the gym yesterday and walked 3.0 miles in 59 minutes on the treadmill. I did eat bad food, like I'm supposed to. Fried Chicken, a biscuit, a bacon cheeseburger, tater tots, and a bowl of cottage cheese & vanilla yogurt. Only drank 1/2 my water and drank 2 sodas. I'm wondering if the same think is going to happen on this diet that I have seen in the past. I always go to the gym and work out hard and build up muscle, which weighs more than fat, so as I'm losing fat, I'm gaining muscle, so I don't see alot of change on the scale. I have a final exam for a class I'm taking, on Wednesday, so I'm cramming today and tomorrow morning. I haven't had time to do my measurements yet! I must get that done ASAP, so I can measure my "physical" changes, in case the scale doesn't reflect the weight loss. I'll try to write again before bed tonight.

It's Here, It's Here!!!!
My supplies just arrived! I mixed my HCG & gave myself the first injection! Here in a few minutes I'm going to go to the gym and work out. Since I'm getting a later start than normal, I need to get started eating and drinking my water. I still need to do my measurements today before I start losing weight. I just went in the bathroom and weighed myself....180 straight up. I'm so excited to start!!!

No Guilt Today!
I just returned from the gym! Gosh it feels good not to feel guilty for not going when I know I should! I walked 3 miles in 1 hour. Fast enough to sweat and get my fat movin, if you know what I mean. I am still waiting for my supplies. Sometimes feel as if they might not ever come, and then I get sad at the thought. Well, I will try to remain optomistic, keep drinking water, going to the gym and trying to eat healthy. I guess the supplies will come someday. My daffodils are blooming today, what a treat to my spirit! TATA4Now :)

Received my HCG, still waiting for b.water and needles so I can get started. Trying to exercise more and drink more water. Not much else to post until I can start the diet.
