Happy Day!! Weight this morning = 164.5, down from 166! .5 pounds more and I will have lost 20 pounds since 04/14th. I'm still losing at least .5 pounds per day usually closer to .75 or even sometimes a pound or more! Every morning there us usually a loss on the scale. How encouraging!! Well.....lots to do today, my daughter is coming over to work in the garden with me today! We need to fertilize the Rose bushes, I have a tomato plant to put in the ground, and alot of weeding to do! Day #9, Round 2, VLCD
Hello Everyone,
Weight this morning.....166.0 LBS!! 9.5 pounds lost in the past 9 days. Not too shabby! The past 2 days I've slowed down a little, only lost 1.5 pounds last 2 days, but not complaining, knew it would slow down sooner or later. So total weight lost so far is 18 pounds! When I get to 22 pounds lost I'll be half way there......inch by inch life's a cinch! L8R

Day #6, Round 2, VLCD
Well, I spent the last half hour typing a big ole story for you and then the computer glitched and I lost it! So to make a long story short, I lost another 1.5 pounds since yesterday morning! Beginning weight 184, today's weight 167.5. Total lost with all my ups and downs in the past 40 days is 16.5 pounds. This does include some P3 time in there and some "gainage" from eating incorrectly on P3. Lesson learned for the future. I'm really getting the hang of this diet and now KNOW that I can be successful by my son's wedding the end of September. I WILL be the thin and healthy Mom in those wedding pictures! And I will continue eating the "Dr. Simeons way" forever. It's too easy not to! Well, time for an injection and a cup of tea! Have a happy day! :)

Day 5, Round #2 VLCD
Hi People!
My weight this morning was 169.0 !!!!! I'm in the 160's!! Went to the movies this afternoon with my daughter. She was so sweet, she only drank water with me because that's all I could eat in that "house of food sin"! So we both sat there sucking on our water bottles and enjoyed the movie! She asked me why I deprive myself yummy stuff. Why not just be "fat and happy". Obviously she has never been on a diet, miss perfect size 4. I told her I would rather "deprive" myself and later be thinner and healthier, than eat the junk and be fat, unhealthy and unhappy. She is one thing I did right in my life. I raised her on steamed vegetables, boneless-skinless chicken breasts and lots of water. Now she won't even eat gravy or fattening stuff if it's offered. She just naturally prefers what she was raised on. I guess you can tell I've been dieting most of my adult life, that's why she was raised on steamed vegetables and chicken. Where as I was raised on fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and blackberry cobbler! Well, at least one of us is thin. But soon enough, there will be another thin person in this family.....me!!! Hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend and stay strong if you're going to a cookout! I'll be "safe from my inner demons" this weekend, we're just hanging around the house and doing nothing special. L8R!

Day #3, Round 2, VLCD
Hi Everyone! Lost 2 pounds yesterday! Today's weight is 172lbs. I was very busy yesterday. Got my hair colored, with no cream around my face, so it obviously was worth the "dye stains" to lose the 2 pounds. Then I helped my daughter-in-law plant some creeping phlox in her flower garden, then went grocery shopping and carried in cases of vegetables and water. We keep our "at home grocery store" pretty well stocked these days. Shop at Costco. Since we can't make any money in the saving's account, and groceries are skyrocketing, a person makes more by stocking up on groceries than leaving extra money in the savings account. Plus one of my son's just got layed off from his job, so I need to prepare to feed him and his family if times get really hard for them. Crazy world. Well, guess I'll go for now. I have a rose bush to plant today and a couple vines to grow up the screened back porch for the summer. So I'll be busy again. L8R! :)

Day #2, Round 2, VLCD
I lost 1.5 pounds! Yesterday's weight 175.5, todays' weight is 174.0.....hurrraaaayyyyy! So off I go to get busy. Oh. I just remembered, I have to get my hair done today. No cream on my face this time, bummer, I'll have dye stains on my skin for a couple of days I guess. yuk. Oh, well, what's a girl to do? Till tomorrow......

Day #1-Round 2-VLCD
Hi everyone!
Well, I've learned alot this past couple weeks. The p3 works well for me if I do not eat any sugar or starches. I gained 4 pounds on mother's day, eating salad dressing made with Balsamic Vinegar (Sugar!). I lost 1.5 pounds of that the following week, on P3. I began my 2 load days (for round 2) on Saturday (17th) and Sunday (18th), gained 3.5 pounds in 2 days. That sucks. So my weight this morning was 175.5. So I've learned, don't eat sugar, and that the load days mean you will "load on the pounds". I hate that part. Next round, I'm going to load only on fat, with no sugar or starches and see how that works. You sure can eat alot of macadamia nut butter and cream cheese on the P3 without gaining a pound! I loved it! But, here I am. Back on the VLCD, so I will pluck along and hopefully lose another 15 to 20 pounds, and hopefully aunt flow will not come to visit. Until tomorrow.......

Day 29 P3
I lost .5 pounds! The P3 is working as long as I drink plenty of water and eat NO STARCH OR SUGAR. Well, hopefully if I drink all my required water, I'll drop the other 4.5 pounds by Saturday when I start injections again and begin day #1 of load for "round 2" of VLCD. I'd very much like to start where I left off as far as my weight number. Going shopping for flowers today! Fun, Fun, Fun! :)

Day #28 P3
I am weak. Yesterday my strength did not get out of bed with me that morning. I had a meeting to go to, I was depressed about my 4lb weight gain (happy mother's day to me). I ate 2 pastries. They tasted great, but today I am .5 lbs fatter than I was yesterday. I am trying to get right back on the P3 wagon. I have another meeting to go to in a couple of hours. If they have pastries there, I'm going to imagine that they have worms crawling all over them, or maggots or something gross. I considered just starting injections again this morning, but those omelets are so good I hate to give them up until my original planned start date of Saturday. So I will "soldier on". Today is Tuesday, so I have today, wed., thurs and friday to try to not gain any more weight. First injection will be Saturday morning. Lord give me the strength to not cheat. So my official weight today is 172.5, up from 167.5 LIW. 5 Pounds total gained in the last 7 days. How depressing. Do you think some of it is my period? I'm so confused at this point, all I know to do is try really hard to stick to P3. If I don't eat enough I'll gain weight, if I try an apple day, I'll gain. I feel scared to death at this point. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know.

Day #27 P3
Well, I'm a little bummed. I did really well on P3 (short round) on Friday & Saturday. My weight stayed within .5 lbs of my last injection weight. Then on Mother's Day, I was really busy all day and didn't eat very much food, hardly anything, didn't drink hardly anything and today I woke up and had GAINED 4 POUNDS! So, I'm getting ready to eat a big steak and an apple. I'm bummed. I'll write tomorrow and let you know how much I weigh in the morning.

Day #24
Aunt Flow came to visit on Tuesday. Messed up everything. :( I usually have to "put up" with her for 7 full days, so since I can't go 7 day's without a shot, I decided to do a "short round". So, I had my last injection Monday morning, ate the VLCD Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and then started P3 this morning. Gosh did that omelet taste yummy this morning!! My weight this morning was 167.5. So I will do 8 days of strict P3 ( I know it's supposed to be 7 days, but I want one of my load days to be at my nieces' graduation BBQ on Sunday :) and then I will begin injections again on Saturday, May 17th. The 17th and 18th will be my load days and then Monday, the 19th will be Day #1 of VLCD, round 2. So far I have lost 16.5 pounds! Everyone is commenting on how thin I look. That's always a big encouragement! It will be nice to eat a few more "allowed" foods at our Mother's Day Cookout this Sunday. I plan on eating a cheeseburger (no bun) and I'm going to make some of Cindy's cheesecake filling to have with fresh strawberries. I made an omelet this morning that was to die for! Onions & mushrooms cooked in a little butter until done, removed them from the pan, added 2 scrambled eggs, cooked until almost set, added the musrooms and onions back in and a slice of cream cheese! Folded it all up, put a lid on the skillet and removed it from the heat while I cleaned up the kitchen. When I cut into it, the cream cheese was all soft and gooey, WOW was it good! I might have another for lunch! Well, i guess if a gal has to put up with Aunt Flo, at least she oughta be able to eat some yummy, healthy, won't make you fat, food! Right? Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's on the challenge and I'll try to get back with you tomorrow, if not, definately on Monday! L8R

Day #21 VLCD
This morning's weight = 168.5. Yesterday morning I was 167.5. We worked out in the yard all day Sunday, planting 3 large bushes, a tree, and a multitude of canna's. I am so sore from bending over and digging all day. So I guess my body isn't used to "spring" yet. I am still losing so I won't complain. That makes my total lost in a full 20 days of dieting -- 15.5 pounds. Happy to be in the 160's, very anxious to get into the 150's, though. Tuesday is my "skip the shot" day. I feel like having an apple day because I don't feel like messing with all that food today. Apple days are such a treat for me. So, I'll write again tomorrow and let you know how it's going. L8R

Day #18 VLCD
Good Morning! I'm sooo happy! The scale shows 169.5 this morning, that's a 1.5 lb loss since yesterday morning! Wow! I'm back in the 160's, yaaahooo! I am so excited to write and tell all of you that I've only been out of bed 5 minutes.....I still have bed wrinkles on my arm and the side of my face! hahaha! The only thing I did different yesterday vs. past days is that I drank a cup of Apple Cider Vinegar tea late in the afternoon. One tablespoon of ACV in a tea cup with hot water and 6 drops of Stevia. I sure am going to have another one this afternoon if it makes that much difference! Well, guess I'll go wake up now and have a cup of tea and watch the morning news. Have a great weekend!

Day #17 VLCD
Hi Everyone! This morning's weight = 171.0, that's a total of 13lbs lost. I'm a little behind the 1lb per day, but I really don't care. I'm showing .5 to 1.0 lbs. lost almost every day and I'm cool with that. Going to relax awhile this morning, have a meeting to go to this afternoon. It's a "cocktail" meeting. I wish I could have a nice glass of wine, but I will just slip out and leave after the meeting. No reason to hang around. Hope you all have a pleasant day!
